What is Biblical Counseling?

We all experience storms in life. (John 16:33).

A different focus:

The sin and suffering we face reveals our hearts.  
Out of the heart come our thoughts, feelings, and actions.  Biblical Counseling addresses the heart. (Luke 6:45, Proverbs 27:19)

A different "fruit":

Symptoms often resolve or lessen as we understand what in our hearts has been producing our outward feelings, thoughts, and behaviors and we seek to see God rightly and follow Him obediently.  (Galatians 5:22, Ephesians 5:8-11)

Cost of counseling:

Janelle does not accept insurance.
Session fees range from $35-90 per session and are determined by household size and income.  Cash, check, credit and venmo are accepted. 

About Janelle

Janelle has helped individuals, couples and families address emotional and relational issues for 14+ years in various counseling settings.  
She utilizes a biblical counseling approach which looks to God’s written word (the Bible) as the starting point from which to understand our spiritual, emotional, and relational experiences, as well as the source of truth from which to draw guidance and correction.
Janelle has been married to her husband Patrick for 25 years and has 3 sons.  
She became a follower of Christ at age 11 and is an active member of her church serving in childrens and outreach ministry.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, escape rooms and outdoor activities.  As a native of western PA, she roots for all things Black and Gold.
